Acaì Bowls

This is actually a very fitting first blog for me. I have been OBSESSED with acai bowls for a while now and I finally figured out the best recipe {thats not 800 calories!} and has the best consistency. The consistency is everything when it comes to these. The only appliance you will need for this is a blender of any kind {high powered preferably} or a food processor. I use my cuisinart food processor. Okay, here are the ingredients you will need:

  • 1/2 cup organic frozen berry blend
  • 1/2 of a frozen banana  {I freeze my own} & 1/2 unfrozen banana
  • 1/4 cup cashew milk or almond milk
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup Nature Valley granola
  • 1 tbsp sunflower butter
  • 1/4 cup blueberries
  • 2 tbsp coconut flakes

You will start by adding the frozen berries, frozen banana and 1/4 cup cashew milk to your food processor and process until it looks like a very thick smoothie. Then you will top with the chia seeds, granola, sunflower butter, blueberries, coconut flakes, and banana and ENJOY!
